Way back on February 2, 2012, in NEJM issue 366: 9 a case of lipohypertrophy (LH) was published as a consequence of insulin injection in a person with T1DM (Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus). Whoever saw those pictures will never forget so huge disfiguring LHs.
